This book is the result of several years of cooperation between Slovenian and Austrian scientists and representatives of civil society with the aim of creating a peaceful Alps-Adriatic region: preparing for the future by working on the past. An open and inclusive dialogue in Austria and Slovenia and between both countries.
It was about controversies about the First World War, the "defense" or the "battle for the northern border", National Socialism, the occupation of Yugoslavia and the partisan question, the Slovene ethnic group in Carinthia and the German-speaking people in Slovenia.
