Pacifist accused of supporting Russian aggression
On August 3, 2023, the home of pacifist Yurii Sheliazhenko in Kiev was searched by the Security Service of Ukraine. They found nothing criminal but confiscated his phone and computer and some documents of the Ukrainian Pacifist Movement. He is formally charged with justifying Russian aggression. Absurdly, the indictment is based on the “Peace Agenda for Ukraine and the World” (https://worldbeyondwar.org/peace-agenda-for-ukraine-and-the-world/), which explicitly condemns Russian aggression.
